Execution Trader

Job Summary

Winton is looking to hire an execution trader to execute (non-discretionary) systematically generated orders on Chinese markets in a smooth and accurate fashion.


• Manually executing orders with efficiency and accuracy
• Monitoring of the market, including metrics such as: open interest, volatility, intraday price movements and market specification changes
• Pre & post trade checking to ensure system integrity
• Liaising with counterparties when necessary
• Keeping up to date with market news, exchange rules & regulations and notifying team members in a timely manner of any relevant changes
• Partnering with technologists to constantly mitigate risk and improve operations of the execution desk
• Desk risk reporting, eg slippage reports, feedback of market conditions


• Meticulous levels of diligence and attention to detail are a must
• A team player but must also be comfortable working independently
• Previous experience in financial markets and basic understanding of futures & equity markets
• Mental agility, a strong mathematical brain and the ability to think quickly and clearly under pressure
• Able to communicate ideas well with other business such as I.T, Operations, Risk & Research
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
