Corporate Accounting Officer & Senior Officer (Shanghai)
Job Description:
Officer:
- Assisting clients in implementation and administration of holding companies, financing and intellectual property companies, and real estate companies;
- Handling the day-to-day operations of companies and responding to clients’ requests;
- Keeping company books and preparing periodic financial and management reports, consolidation financial statements in accordance to the clients’ guideline and handle payments processing,
- Preparing statutory financial statements and maintaining contact with auditors when applicable in compliance with PRC GAAP;
- Preparing corporate and VAT returns and maintaining relevant contact with the tax authorities and tax advisers;
- Monitoring the issue of formal invoices and “fapiao” and maintain proper control on tax reporting machine;
- Taking part in developing restructuring plans or other transactions in compliance with recommendations of the local regulatory body, including spin – offs, mergers and acquisitions;
- Overseeing the accounting functions/records of our branches in Shanghai and Beijing and ensure in compliance with local tax and accounting regulations and internal due diligence matters;
- Willing to station in Shanghai for long-term career development and willing to travels to banks and government authorities for documentation filing purpose.
Your Profile:
- You hold a university degree preferably in Accounting & Finance or Economics;
- At least hold the Accounting Qualification Certificate (higher professional level) issued by Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau;
- You have 0 - 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a large corporate services provider;
- Capable of handling full set of accounts and preparing consolidated accounts;
- Prior knowledge of alternatives including Private Equity and Real Estate funds would be a distinct advantage;
- Knowledge of eFront and YARDI is desirable;
- You are fluent in English and Mandarin;
- You are mature, and detail-oriented;
- You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
Senior Officer:
- Assisting clients in implementation and administration of holding companies and SPVs in private equity and real estate industry;
- Handling the day-to-day operations of companies and responding to clients’ requests;
- Keeping company books and preparing periodic financial reports;
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and maintaining contact with auditors when applicable;
- Preparing and reviewing corporate and GST returns and maintaining relevant contact with the tax authorities and tax advisers;
- Perform treasury services (such as preparing and reviewing payment instructions);
- Preparing corporate tax returns and maintaining relevant contact with the tax authorities and tax advisers;
- Assisting with the organization of board meetings and shareholders meetings;
- Coordination and management of client ad-hoc requests.
Your Profile:
- You hold a university degree preferably in Accounting & Finance or Economics;
- You have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the fields of audit and/or accounting;
- Preferably holding a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA);
- Knowledge in fund administration and fund accounting is highly preferred;
- Proficient in English;
- You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate;
- You are mature, and detail-oriented;
- You are a self-starter and able to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
