To be responsible for the budget and P&L of trade finance business in East China
To scope out business strategy and work out action plan for the trade finance sales teams of East China and review the strategy and plan regularly for proper adjustment

Mission

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Tasks

  • To work with local teams to set individual targets for the trade sales officers and trade sales representatives at year beginning. The targets should be on both sales activities (Calls per day on existing and new clients) and financial results (transaction volume, financing outstanding, revenue, NBI, number of new customers, cross-selling)
  • To manage proactively the sales activities of the teams by reviewing the team and individual staff performance, agreeing on the calls plans for each individual staff and taking stock of the progress of the call results for last week
  • To review regularly with branch teams the related operation issues and work with operation for solutions
  • To work closely with CORI for trade facilities identification, conversion and utilization
  • To work closely with Trade Finance product team to achieve the target set for each product.
  • To help come up with new product ideas together with the Trade Product Manager including feedback on pricing, evolving client needs, new best practices, etc
  • To support internal synergy programs with other business lines
  • To help ensure all transactional irregularities of the trade clients are thoroughly investigated and properly followed to mitigate the risks for the Bank
  • To develop and coach trade sales team regularly as triggered by performance review or other issues
  • Other ad hoc tasks / relevant responsibilities as assigned by the management


Profile

Requirements

Academic Background (degree and major)

  • University graduate, preferably with a major in finance / foreign trade


Working Experience / Technical Skills & Know how

  • A minimum of 10 years banking experience in the trade finance related area
  • Knowledge of Trade services operation, trade product and services, basic knowledge in credit and account services


Skills & Competencies

  • - good selling skills
  • -excellent communication skill and leadership


Language Skills

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English(both written and spoken
  • Local dialects are an advantage


Computer Skill

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office softwares


Others if any (require to travel, etc)

  • Travel will be required
