Position Description

This is a project-oriented engineering role within the global Windows Shared Services team responsible for Windows Server hardware certifications, platform tooling and platform feature engineering. The ideal candidate has deep technical experience in the core Windows Server platform, server hardware, build systems and automation, leadership skills, and excellent communications ability. The scope for this role encompasses the firm's global Windows infrastructure, with responsibility for all business units and a total of 11,000 Windows servers.



Qualifications:

  • 2 – 3 years of relevant experience
  • Total of 5 or more years of working experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS core internals
  • Knowledge of HP, Dell and/or Lenovo server hardware
  • Moderate to strong proficiency with PowerShell
  • Experience with creating and managing standard OS builds and related components
  • Experience with enterprise-scale OS deployment technologies such as ADS/WDS, SCCM OSD or MDT
  • Experience with Microsoft Cluster Services
  • Experience with platform management tooling like System Center, patch management and security products
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare ESX, etc.)
  • Experience with core infrastructure technologies (AD, DHCP, DNS, load balancing, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting experience including analyzing kernel memory dumps and network packet captures
  • A thorough understanding of TCP/IP, layer 2 and 3 network design, firewalls, switches and routers
  • Experience creating technical documentation
  • Excellent communication and written skills
