Job Summary / Job Purpose

Responsible for providing assistance to the Head of Cash Clearing & Trade finance China, in marketing, middle office and customer support for Trade Services and Cash Clearing Services to a portfolio of Financial Institutions in China, on behalf of GTPS / GTB / TRA and GTPS / GTB / BAN.


Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Tasks

Assist Head of Cash Clearing and Trade Finance in client development and maintenance, especially on the following tasks:

  • Prepare Clients and Clients Branches meetings, in order to assist in developing the number of clients, volumes of operations and NBI for both cash clearing and trade
  • Participate in the Prospection plan, through maintaining contacts with targeted banks and chasing them on a regular basis, for account opening and volumes of operations for Cash Clearing Services, and for new deals of products for Trade Services
  • Conduct KYC / Compliance on new clients and KYC review of existing clients, including communication with the client to get the required documentation, and with CORI / CCG and GTB to get the KYC approval
  • Take in charge client day to day services: as the first level of customer support, handle customers' inquiries to help them solve any operation problems and making sure every inquiry will be taken care on that same day or the earliest possible in order to satisfy the customers, including responding client inquiries, downloading monthly statement, providing the necessary in formations regarding STP formatting, fees, L / C and L / G related inquiries
  • Assist in preparation and operation of client seminars


Academic Background

  • Bachelor or above, major in Finance, Commerce, Business Management or language. Other major may also acceptable

Working Experience / Technical Skills & Know how
  • Minimum 3 years of banking experience in transaction banking sales and / or middle / back office, in Cash Clearing or Trade Services

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong inter-personal skills

Language Skills

  • Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English, French is a plus

Computer Skill

  • Skilled in Windows Office applications (WORD, EXCEL, Powerpoint, etc)
