This Canberra company is seeking to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for an immediate start.
Your new role
As an Accounts Officer, you will report to the manager of financial services and working closely with other stakeholders support the growth and improve business processes. Your day-today responsibilities will consist of but not limited to the following:
- Previous accounts payable/receivable experience
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Verify timesheets and complete payroll
- Prepare financial reports, daily bank reconciliations, and accruals
- BAS, GST and PAYG returns
- Processing invoices & preparing payments
- Assist with end of month procedures
- General administrative accounting tasks
- Excellent numeracy and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge in using financial software
- Day-to-day operation of debtors and creditors
- Support of clients in financial management of their services
- Assist in minor tasks to junior accounts team associates
To be considered for this role, you must be immediately available to start. You will have demonstrated prior experience in a similar role, MYOB experience is beneficial, strong communication and verbal skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
