Based in a collaborative office in the heart of Melbourne CBD, this growing business services organisation is looking for an Accounts Officer to join their collaborative and dynamic finance team.
Your new role
Are you ready to be part of the team and make an impact? As an accounts officer, you'll be reporting to the Senior Accounts Coordinator and working within an experienced team of 7. You will be responsible for several duties, such as:
- End-to-end Accounts Payable: Reconciliation of creditor accounts, collation and processing of employee reimbursements and corporate credit card, purchase order process, amongst others
- End-end Accounts Receivable: Creation and maintenance of customer records, supports in ensuring the completeness, existence, and accuracy of revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and emailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments, support in Debtor management through proactive and prompt follow up of delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments, amongst others
- General accounting duties such as providing backfill support for other finance staff where required and ad-hoc duties where required
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- A relevant degree or qualification would be an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate - Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with Sage intact or other large cloud-based ERP systems
