Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk RWA, this position will see you working within a team consisting of subject matter experts & analysts that manage, research and implement best practice methodologies associated with Credit Risk.
The role and Day to day will include:
- Perform complex calculation, analysis and impact assessment on risk-weighted assets (RWA) across all asset classes using SQL and Excel, to support effective credit risk management
- Liaison with key stakeholders relating to the impacts of change to Credit Risk RWA. Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, source and prepare data from data warehouses for analysis and presentation of information/insights
- Code SQL via PL/SQL Developer to query, extract, store, maintain, mine, manipulate, analyse, report and disseminate credit risk data
- Conduct post-implementation review on change agenda related to upstream data, model calibration/implementation, system, methodology, industry / legislative / prudential changes and provide clear and concise explanation of outcomes
- Support interpretation of Prudential Standards and support change and release management including liaising with stakeholders and assist in testing
- Define and articulate system requirements
- Education of stakeholders in understanding model outputs and methodologies
- Support in development of independent expected result calculations in line with regulatory standards for impact assessment and testing
What you will bring: - Degree qualified in an economic, finance, technology or mathematical field
- Possess a strong quantitative and analytical background, with proven experience in performing detailed analytical functions
- Proficient in SQL as well as experience dealing with sourcing data from data warehouses and understanding of data analytical techniques and methodologies
- High standard of written and oral communication skills
- Experience in working towards deadlines and ability to prioritise competing demands is essential
