Your new role awaits: We have an exciting entry level opportunity to enter Corporate & Institutional Banking and work in a high performing team within Asset Servicing Investment & Reporting. This business delivers reporting to some of the largest superannuation and fund manager clients in Australia. This role will give you first-hand insight into financial markets and gain valuable end to end knowledge of financial products while being responsible for the accounting / tax reporting for over 30,000 securities held in client portfolios worth over $600B AUD.
We are the client's back office and accounting staff. Our clients make investment and strategic decisions based on our information of our assessment of profitability and performance based on the deliverable's we produce. The client utilises our information to strike unit prices for investors, making accuracy of the work we do imperative to avoid financial losses.
This role will be well suited to a recent university graduate. Previously successful applicants who have joined us have come from a wide range of backgrounds, incorporating knowledge from Finance, IT/Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Economics and Law. Software skills in excel, VBA, SQL, Python and other coding languages have also proven to be very helpful to have an instant impact and to hit the ground running when starting in our team.
Your ability to handle pressurised environments, coupled with high attention to detail and the ability to communicate in a team will be your standout qualities. You'll be naturally curious by nature, show a willingness to take on new and difficult challenges and possess a passion for financial markets. As a vital member of the team, you will understand the importance of daily deliverables of reporting data and embrace the work shifts to accommodate global markets, (total 40 hours per week):
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- 1:30pm -10:30pm
- Occasional weekend work
As our Advisor, your focus will be on these core tasks: - Reporting: daily/monthly preparation and submission of investment reporting advice, including transactions
- General ledger: maintaining the integrity of our client's General Ledger static data on a daily/monthly basis by ensuring daily transactions are entered accurately
- Market knowledge: comparing market value movement of investments to benchmarks and providing explanations to clients where movement exceeds that of benchmark
- Team deliverables: via 1:1 relationship with the Client's CRMs and Fund Managers, you will be quick to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact our clients.
Your new team within NAB: The team sits within our Corporate and Institutional team and Asset Servicing specifically provides Custody, Master Custody, Investment Administration and other related services to a range of locally and internationally domiciled clients, including federal and state government agencies and superannuation funds, investment managers, corporate and industry superannuation funds, brokers/dealers and institutional banks.
