Your new company
This Sydney based Financial Services company is looking for a permanent Assistant Accountant to work in its Sydney CBD office. The role has come about due growth in the business and will report to the Financial Controller.
The client is looking for a candidate with an outgoing personality, who can bring some positiveness to the team. This role is not just about the accounting, as the team is looking for someone who is also customer serviced focussed and keen to progress.
Your new role
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain Accounts Payable and Receivable for the organisation
- Check and process payment requests and reimbursements on time, and send remittances
- File all payment records and direct debit tax invoices
- Reconcile payments on monthly basis
- Act as a main contact point for all creditor enquiries
- Assist preparing Sales and Ad hoc reports
- Assist in the month-end processing of General Ledger accounts, including processing month-end journals, intercompany recharges, credit card and bank reconciliations
- Assist with various accounting projects
- Other ad-hoc duties required by management
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- A positive and outgoing personality
- A Degree in accounting and studying towards CPA
- Effective verbal and written communication
- The ability to prioritise tasks daily
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
- Proficient in operation of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
This role will provide training and is paying up to $75k + Super for the right candidate.
