Your new role Will be part of a small, high performing team monitoring and the implementation of the Compliance Management Framework and to continually promote a culture of compliance. It requires close liaison with key stakeholders, working closely with business representatives and acting as an effective "second line of defence" in managing risks to the business.
- Identifying regulatory changes relevant to the company and working proactively with the business on implementation planning and execution
- Maintenance, management and oversight of relevant compliance and risk registers
- Assist with licence management. Including notification of licence changes, responsible manager/person appointments, regulatory filings, and renewals
- Assist in the development and ongoing monitoring of Group Policies
- Provision of privacy advice and support to all business units
- Conduct privacy reviews and monitor compliance
- Completion of Privacy Impact Assessments
- Provide training with the broader business where appropriate
- Engaging daily with business managers and operational staff to promote and embed the compliance culture
- Collaborating with business units to support and solve regulatory matters
- Being highly visible within the business on all compliance related matters
What you'll need to succeed - Tertiary qualification in finance, business, law or a relevant discipline. A legal background is desirable
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the insurance or superannuation industries
- A strong understanding of regulatory requirements for compliance within the financial services environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build a partnership relationship with the wider business stakeholders
- Highly organised with high attention to detail and forward planning
- Someone who is collaborative, work as a team and bring great passion and personality to the role supporting the business with Compliance
