Trading Associate

Trader role for a global top tier asset manager

Responsibilities

Through extensive on-desk formal training and informal on-the-job instruction, TAs become well-versed in trade execution strategies, the logic used to implement our strategies, and the production systems used to facilitate our logic. As an important member of a small team, you will have the opportunity to and be expected to nimbly stretch to cover responsibilities beyond your core trading job. A successful Trading Associate will:

• Execute desired exposures (across assets) in Chinese markets according to our systematic, proprietary processes
• Develop a holistic understanding of trading execution strategies
• Contribute to understanding of market microstructure, transaction costs, market participants, and products in the markets
• Drive initiatives to improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our trading systems
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our liquidity providers
• Stretch across business functions as needed.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with strong academic record
• 2+ years of relevant trading experience in Chinese markets
• Effective written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
• General comfort with learning and using new software tools
• High integrity and culture fit
• Fluency in Mandarin and English

Desired Qualifications

• A high degree of proficiency with Excel, WIND/Bloomberg, VBA,bridge Python
• AMAC fund practicing qualification
• CIBM trader qualification
