Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms. This position plays a key role in shaping cloud strategy, improving platform reliability, and driving automation across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior escalation point for cloud, systems, and infrastructure-related incidents and technical challenges.
• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across public cloud and hybrid environments.
• Maintain and enhance cloud governance frameworks, including identity management, access controls, and policy enforcement.
• Lead infrastructure and platform projects from solution design through to implementation and operational handover.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar automation frameworks.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support platform and infrastructure deployments.
• Drive improvements in system performance, resilience, security, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with relevant security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor platform health and proactively identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and cost reduction.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineers across the broader technology team.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Engineer role.
• Strong hands-on expertise across cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise networking.
• Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, governance, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern infrastructure operations.
