Your Tasks

1. As Vice President, you manage and further develop our existing client relationships across the EMEA region, with a particular focus on airlines, leasing companies and aviation-related businesses.
2. You identify and pursue new business opportunities, build trusted relationships with prospective clients and position ING as a leading financial partner within the aviation sector.
3. A key part of the role is identifying and driving cross-buy opportunities. You proactively develop these opportunities and coordinate their execution in close collaboration with international Product and Coverage teams.
4. You play an active role in the structuring and execution of aircraft financing and other aviation sector transactions, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
5. In this context, you assess clients’ creditworthiness and liquidity, analyse industry and transaction risks, and integrate relevant risk, portfolio and sustainability considerations into the transaction process.
6. To support efficient credit and decision-making processes, you contribute to the preparation of credit applications, committee papers, strategic client plans, as well as risk and portfolio reporting.
7. In short, you take ownership of your client portfolio with confidence and discipline, steering its development with a long-term perspective and a strong focus on sustainable growth, profitable business expansion and responsible risk management.

Your Profile

1. Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
2. Several years of experience in relationship management for large corporate clients within a banking environment, with a strong understanding of Corporate and/or Wholesale Banking
3. Experience in the aviation sector or a strong affinity for Aviation Finance
4. Solid understanding of credit processes, risk analysis and structured finance transactions
5. A proactive mindset, strong commercial orientation, entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative and a strong sense of ownership
6. Excellent analytical skills combined with a structured, detail-oriented and reliable working style
7. Confidence in dealing with clients, product partners and internal decision-makers, supported by strong communication and stakeholder management skills
8. A willingness to learn, curiosity for complex sector-specific topics and a collaborative mindset
9. Open to cultural diversity in an international environment
10. Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
