Citi Global Wealth (CGW) is a division of Citi focused on serving the needs of clients across the entire wealth spectrum. It has been created by combining the Wealth Management businesses across Citi Global Consumer Bank and Citi Private Bank. It serves over 500,000 clients through its global footprint in Asia, EMEA, Latin America, and North America.

Job Background/Context: The Lending business of the CGW offers a diverse range of products to suit client's needs and experience in each Wealth Segment. For clients in the UHNW segment, the product offering is diverse including Margin Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Residential Real Estate finance, Aircraft, and Art-backed Finance as well as tailored solutions to target market clients of the Private Bank. Citigold and Citi Private Client activities are focused Margin Lending, Residential Real Estate and other lending solutions appropriate for this market segment.
The Banking business includes all cash deposits products, digital payment solutions, as well as custody services.
The Lending and Banking businesses is a matrix organization managed across origination and underwriting by Region and Product.
CGW Lending and Banking Head, APAC: - The Lending and Banking Region Head is a member of the CGW Lending and Banking Leadership Team and CGW APAC Region Leadership Team.
- Responsible for the strategy, budget and governance for the lending and banking activities in the APAC region.
- Region Head work in close partnership with the Global Market Managers in the APAC region in respect of Lending and Banking business origination, and with other members of the Lending and Banking leadership team including Global Head of Wealth Credit Management for Lending, and the Global Heads for Lending Products (e.g., Margin Lending and Wholesale Structured Lending) in respect of coverage and the end-to-end credit lifecycle.
- The CGW Lending and Banking Region Head will have a focus on three main areas:
- Business growth: aligned with Citi CGW's Win in Wealth strategy, drive the development of the CGW Lending product in the region in full alignment with Regional and Global business strategies including establishment of product capabilities suited to the different wealth segments, recruitment of top talent, organizational enhancements as the Lending and Banking business evolves.
- Transformation: lead changes in the region to adapt to the new operating for wholesale lending
- Integration: lead the integration of the Lending and Banking products for all segments of the newly created CGW (e.g. CPB, IPB, Citigold, Citi Private Client)
- This is a highly demanding role, requiring proven leadership, governance and oversight founded on strong lending and credit underwriting experience together with banking knowledge as well as knowledge and experience of Citi's Credit Policies, Standards and Procedures, Risk Management practices and regulatory expectations.
- As region head, the role requires full accountability for the products vis a vis the regulatory frameworks in both Hong Kong and Singapore, in addition to compliance with other jurisdictions with which CGW Asia interacts with (e.g., Australia).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Defines vision for and partners with key regional and global stakeholders to develop the regional lending and banking strategy and budget for CGW and contribute to the development of the global lending and banking strategy and budget.
- Drive execution of the lending and banking strategy in the region and delivery against targets.
- Develop and manage an organization of Lending Originators and banking sales teams that effectively engage with Clients, Bankers, WCM and 2nd LOD to deliver timely lending solutions to meet client needs appropriate to the respective wealth tiers.
- Provide regional governance and oversight for the regional lending and banking business and chair relevant regional lending and banking governance forum that bring together all stakeholders in the region including the business is conducted in line with policies, procedures and regulatory expectations across all wealth segments.
- Represent the regional lending and banking business in all senior business forums.
QUALIFICATIONS: - 15 years + experience in client facing lending and credit structuring roles.
- Solid credit risk management experience, preferably Senior Credit Officer.
- Ability to understand a broad range of credit financing needs across different wealth tiers and develop lending solutions to meet these needs.
- Demonstrates managerial maturity in looking out for the best interests of the enterprise including managing dual reporting lines.
- Proven ability to lead teams and provide governance and oversight.
- Strong communicator.
- Strong presence / ability to liaise with internal heads of businesses, risk and control partners and manage multiple front-line demands.
- Navigates organizational complexity and breaks silos.
- Creates and sustains a network of strong partnerships within the business across all segments & geographies.
- Proven track record of partnering with global peers in leveraging and implementation of best practices. Licence / registration with the corresponding regulatory authorities in Hong Kong and Singapore, as applicable.
- Ability to see the 'big picture' in a complex environment.
- Can make decisions under pressure and short timeline.
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiating ability, resolve conflicts amongst various constituencies.
- Excellent presentation skills - adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies.
