Company Description
A well-established international asset manager is seeking a Credit Analyst to cover non-China credits.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with portfolio managers by conducting credit analyses for fixed income issuers in Asia markets across investment grade and high yield corporates, with particular focus on non-China names
- Analyze financial statements, perform financial modeling, and assess credit risk using various tools and techniques
- Develop and maintain financial models, including cash flow projections, balance sheet analysis, and credit rating assessments.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, regulatory changes and macroeconomic developments affecting credit markets. Review credit quality changes of all credits invested by the firm
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including management teams, sell-side analysts, and credit rating agencies.
Requirements
- University graduate with degree in Finance / Economics / related disciplines. MBA / CFA holders are well regarded
- At least 5 years of experience in credit research (buy side / sell side) rating agency
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Knowledge of credit rating agencies and credit risk assessment methodologies
- Deep understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes affecting credit markets in, for example, India and Indonesia
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent Excel knowledge
