Overview
A reputable regional bank is currently seeking a Deputy Head of Compliance for the bank.
Role Responsibilities
- Leading several large AML Compliance teams, you will take a holistic view and lead the delivery of AML-related functions including regular reviews for retail, commercial and corporate banking customers, transaction monitoring, sanctions investigation of suspicious transactions for branches
- Provide AML advisory to group in regards to local and regional / overseas branches
- Drive or coordinate the implementation of those risk and compliance related projects within the bank division
- Assist the Head of AML Compliance in driving change through the department
- Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
- Lead and train staff members in the department
Job Requirements
- Degree holder in business or banking/financial services related areas
- Min. 15 years of relevant experience in compliance for retail, wealth, commercial and corporate banking
- A confident, efficient and effective executive with initiative and strong leadership;
- Able to exercise judgment, work under pressure and effectively communicate with the business and support units is essential
- Must have had staff management experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese
