Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting – Global Insurance Firm

Our client is a top-tier global insurance company with strong presence worldwide.  To further strengthen their market positioning, the company has added a new headcount for an Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting to join their team.

As an Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Perform financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation on the company’s accounts
• Maintain accuracy of all regular reports and analysis
• Meet deadline for all regular reports and analysis
• Complete month end and quarter end input and submission required by headquarter
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and management reports
• Prepare quarterly regulatory returns
• Follow up and action on discrepancy of daily / monthly reconciliation
• Prepare analysis on claims, bank exposure, etc.
• Support ad-hoc projects as and when required

To be considered for this role as an Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting, you possess the following:-

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Professional qualification of recognized accounting bodies
• At least 5 years of related experience
• Life insurance experience is preferred, but also welcome other financial services and big 4 candidates
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
• Candidates with immediate availability will be considered first.

Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting and Unit Pricing – Global Insurance Firm

Our client is a global financial institution, urgently seeking an Assistant Manager within their Financial Reporting and Unit Pricing team.

As an Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting and Unit Pricing, you will be responsible for the following:-

• Monitor daily funds and investment operations
• Review all transactions on company’s investment and unit linked products in accordance with accounting standards and internal frameworks
• Review all vouchers for key balance sheet and profit and loss items
• Investigate abnormal trends, perform analysis, manage variances, and prepare commentaries
• Prepare and review regular and ad hoc reports like daily sales reports, intercompany, claim analysis, and management reports, etc.
• Support ad hoc projects, i.e. fund changes, new products launch, and system enhancement, etc.

To be considered for this position as an Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting and Unit Pricing, you possess the following:-

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related disciplines
• Over 8 years of relevant experience
• Accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia is a must
• Good command of English and Cantonese is a must
• Immediately available is preferred, and will be considered first
