Frontend Platform Architect

Responsibilities

Oversee and be responsible to ensure BOCHK frontend platform architectures support the digital transformation initiatives of BOCHK
Assess solution alternatives; define & design the best solution; and liaise with all parties concerned to drive for the implementation of relevant frontend platform solutions for BOCHK
Assess solution alternatives; define and design the best solution; and liaise with all parties concerned to drive for the migration of relevant systems on to the implemented frontend platform solutions
Liaise with all applicable parties concerned such as BOCHK senior management; end users; and IT professionals; for the overall smooth and successful project implementations
Oversee and ensure that proper and effective communications be conducted to all parties concerned for the ultimate successful implementation of frontend platform solutions for BOCHK
Provide thought leadership in frontend platform solution areas

Experience

Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or related discipline; Business related degree may also be considered if applicant possesses solid IT industry project experience
12+ years of experience in IT industry with which 6+ years in various user frontend related platform projects
Solid business knowledge and user experience in banking industry highly preferred
Able to communicate effectively with non-IT users for relevant innovation projects surrounding frontend platform architectures
Solid understanding and project experience of Frontend platform related solutions, such as the following:
- Fat-client based frontend solution architectures
- Thin-client based frontend solution architectures
- Mobile-based frontend solution architectures
- Work-From-Home solution architectures
- Virtual Desktop solution architectures
- Edge-computing platform solution architectures
Solid knowledge project experience to cope with multiple aspects of user-experience requirements of frontend architectures
Solid knowledge and project experience to cope with security aspects of frontend architectures
Solid knowledge and project experience to cope with operational and management aspects of frontend architectures
Knowledge of heritage banking system technical architecture
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good command in both written and spoken Chinese and English, proficiency of Mandarin is a plus
Self-motivated and willing to work under pressure
