Legal Counsel/Assistant Legal Counsel(Insurance, PQE 3 years or above)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice to all business units on daily operations, new business initiatives and insurance products;
• Draft, review and negotiate documents, including but not limited to insurance product documents, investment-related agreements, general commercial contracts and others;
• Identify legal risks and advise on the legal impact of new or changes of existing legislation, rules, regulations, guidelines;
• Liaise with and instruct external lawyers on a wide range of legal matters;
• Develop and update legal document templates;
• Conduct market research on legal and company secretarial matters; and
• Handle any other ad-hoc assignments assigned by the General Counsel or supervisor from time to time

Requirements:

• Qualified Hong Kong solicitor with at least 3 years PQE experience.
• Open to candidates with or without in-house experiences (candidates with litigation experience will also be considered);
• Willing to learn, self-motivated, capable of handling matters independently and proactively;
• Experience in life insurance companies is highly preferred;
• Familiar with Insurance Ordinance,  Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, Companies Ordinance and Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and guidelines issued by the Insurance Authority is an advantage;
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
