Legal Counsel – Global Markets (Legal and Compliance Department)

Job Responsibilities:

• Advise and support legal and compliance functions of fixed income, equities and other global markets business;
• Drafting and negotiation on ISDA Master Agreements, GMSLA, GMRA and other related agreements;
• Handle legal matters in relation to distribution of products to institutional, corporate and private wealth clients;
• Advise on regulatory related matters;
• Prepare documents on fixed income and equities transactions, including trading, OTC derivatives, structured notes and other ad hoc assignments;
• Liaise with external counsel on major transactions and corporate matters;
• Handle litigations, disputes and regulatory issues;
• Handle the group’s legal and compliance projects and business routine matters; and
• Other matters as required by Head of Legal and Compliance.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor in HKSAR or other relevant jurisdictions with at least 5 years PQE;
• Relevant legal experience at reputable law firms and/or international financial institutions;
• Bachelor or postgraduate degree in laws;
• Good language skills, both written and spoken, in English, Mandarin and Cantonese; and
• Strong communication, coordination and project management skills.
