MIS Officer (for Business Finance Team) (1-year contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Produce financial data applicable to the Personal & Business Banking Group.
• Prepare Management Information for periodic and yearly financial statements, including the preparation of charts and graphs showing progress, conditions and results.
• Assist in providing analysis and interpretation of results, along with the preparation of financial and operating reports to provide a basis for management planning, operation controls and performance measurement.
• Assist in consolidating business profitability and operating budgets of PBG; check appropriation requests against approved budgets for availability of funds prior to commitment; and exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed the amount authorized.
• Participate in special projects; such as inter alias integration projects, accounting plans for new products, and interface with automated general ledger.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Business or Statistics, with accounting knowledge is an advantage.
• Prior experience in handling MI in banking / financial industry is preferred. Fresh graduate will also be considered.
• A team player with good numerical sense.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel and PowerPoint. Practical experience in data management tool such as SAS is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
