Title: Senior Cloud DBA, Onsite with HSBC
Position Type: Contract ( 1 year, mostly extendable)
Salary: Up to 100k/ month
PayMe, the choice of eWallet by 3 million Hong Kong customers, is undergoing a large Cloud infrastructure modernization program. We are looking for a talented Database Specialist to join us in this exciting transformation journey!
The Cloud Infrastructure Modernization program involves setting up, tuning and maintaining Databases including MySQL and SQL Server in both Azure and AWS Cloud platforms.
Job Description:
PoC and setup of Azure PaaS (MySQL Single Server/Flexible Server & SQL Managed Instance) or IaaS (MySQL & SQL Server on Azure VM)
Setup replication between Azure PaaS and IaaS MySQL/SQL Server
Support Data migration team in large databases migration among Azure PaaS, Azure IaaS and AWS RDS/Aurora databases for MySQL/SQL Server
Work with Performance Testing and Application Team in Performance tuning of MySQL/SQL Server
Support go-live and maintenance activities of MySQL/SQL Server and corresponding data replication
Requirements:
good English communication skills
5+ years in Enterprise scale, highly available MySQL and/or SQL Server setup and maintenance
experience in MySQL/SQL Server failover and recovery
in-depth knowledge of database index and performance tuning
experience in large scale data migration is definitely an advantage
experience in Azure/AWS is a plus
experience in working with geographically dispersed teams is an advantage
