A leading global clearing and financing bank is hiring a Securities Finance Trader in Hong Kong, and is genuinely open to strong SBL operations / middle-office talent making the step into a front-office trading role, as well as experienced SBL traders. If you know the product from the operations side and want to trade it, this is the move.

What you'll do

1. Execute securities borrowing and lending trades within approved limits, and run your books with a close eye on P&L
2. Manage internal inventory against external borrow costs, fees and interest, keeping funding efficient
3. Handle corporate actions, dividends and market events across the lifecycle of your trades
4. Work hand in hand with counterparties, clients and regional Operations to keep settlement clean and collateral used smartly
5. Help sharpen the desk's processes, controls and automation as the business grows

What you'll bring

1. A solid grounding in securities finance / SBL, whether from an operations / middle-office seat or from front-office trading
2. Strong numeracy, sharp attention to detail, and a controls-minded, professional approach
3. The drive to own a book and step up into a front-office role
4. SFC Type 1 (Modules 1A, 6, 6A), or the ability to complete them after joining
