Responsibilities
Take part in the growing trend of Responsible Investment, supporting asset owners and asset managers on their sustainability journey
Take lead on projects to develop and implement clients’ house or portfolio-level sustainability strategy and/or strategic initiatives
Develop or enhance clients’ sustainability policies, investment, and risk management procedures
Support clients with their internal and external sustainability reporting, including promotion of PwC proprietary digital solutions
Conduct ESG and/or impact due diligence as part of the overall investment or acquisition due diligence process
Conduct portfolio-wide review of sustainability practices, and targeted ‘deep dives’ on portfolio companies to identify sustainable value creation opportunities
Assist in setting, collection and review of non-financial KPIs at portfolio and investee company level
Assist in preparation for and delivery of ESG training for clients
Assist in business development and pitching assignments to engage potential clients
Requirements
A graduate degree in business, engineering, environmental science, statistics, mathematics and/or equivalent discipline
Minimum 5-years’ of working experience within which should demonstrate a competent level ESG / sustainability experience
Familiarity with UNPRI, TCFD, SASB, IFC Sustainability Standards, GRI Standards for sustainability reporting, ISSB, SBTi / Net Zero strategy
Proven experience in research and data analytical capabilities
Strong[JB(A1] decision making and problem-solving capabilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good command of both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
Relevant sustainability / climate related professional qualification (e.g CFA in Sustainability, CESGA etc) is preferred
Priority will be given to candidates who have experience working with fund managers / private equity
