Responsibilities
- To collect and analyze user requirements, produce functional and/or system specifications and build or enhance application systems to cope with business needs
- Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting, status meeting and escalation effectively
- To supervise or coordinate development teams to ensure quality of deliverables
- Participate in development and testing activities, and perform system support, system configuration & maintenance activities
- Work closely with business analysts, vendors and collaborate with other functional teams on system requirement analysis, effort estimation, design, development, testing, implementation and troubleshooting activities
- Liaise and coordinate effectively with both internal and external parties
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of solid development experience in Java or Python, preferably in an agile development practice, experience on C++ would be an advantage
- Experience on critical, low latency, real-time, scalable systems with features on queuing, scheduling, complex events processing ( CEP )
- Technical knowledge in non-relational DB such as mongoDB, kdb
- Hands on experience with shell scripting
- Strong experience with using a high-performance messaging bus
- Prior experience on working with MarkitWire, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FIX, Market Data, Analytics and Order Management Systems an advantage
- Self-motivated and possess strong leadership, project management, analytical, problem solving, communication skills
- Proficiency in Cantonese and good in Mandarin and spoken & written English
- Willing to work under pressure in a competent, challenging, and team-working environment
