Capital and Liquidity Senior Data Manager - Group Treasury
Utilise your expertise in Enterprise Data Management and join our Reporting, Risk, Analytics and Platforms (RRAP) team, part of Group Treasury team, to lead the management of our critical data. As an experienced and passionate leader in the data space, you will champion financial data and ensure Capital & Liquidity data compliance with the enterprise data management policy and standards within Macquarie. The role is focussed on Capital and Liquidity Data Management for our European bank, Macquarie Bank Europe, headquartered out of Dublin.

As a Data Senior Manager, key responsibilities across Capital and Liquidity Regulatory Reporting will include:
  • Working closely with the liquidity and capital reporting functions to understand their data quality issues, documenting and determining root cause, driving solutions up streams in source systems.
  • Champion the EDM policies and standards and collaborate with data stakeholders to improve data management practices.
  • Manage data in compliance with EDM policies and standards, and within data stakeholders' expectations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop agreed definitions and requirements for data elements.
  • Map data lineage for any new 'Critical Data Elements' that are identified.
  • Contribute to the identification, assessment and management of data risks and controls, including coordinating such activities for data being managed, coordinating data control gap remediation activities and assisting with the periodic attestation processes.
  • Measure, monitor and report on data quality.
  • Support other data management stakeholders seeking to manage data quality issues and incidents, including other Data Stewards, Application Owners, and Data Owners
  • Support Data Owners in managing change in relation to data, including identifying the need for change, coordinating changes within GT RRAP, and conducting impact assessments on proposed changes in collaboration with data stakeholders.
  • Work with the BAU teams to support their learning to enhance the understanding of data across GT RRAP

What skills will you use?
  • Experience with implementation of BCBS239 or similar Data Management regulations would be highly regarded.
  • Experience of data quality issue management
  • Knowledge of Financial products such as derivatives or relevant domain experience within Capital or Liquidity Prudential Reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to reconcile complex issues.
  • Strong relationship management skills and an ability to interface with a broad cross-section of individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an influential member of a team and to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels in a cross-functional environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven ability to take on ownership and demonstrate accountability for results, balanced by sound professional judgement.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
