Data Engineer

Location: Warrington Place, Dublin

Hybrid working, 2 days per week in our office.

The Job

Join our growing Data & Analytics team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing our Azure-based data platform. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud data warehouse, monitoring and maintaining data pipelines, resolving data issues, and supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality data across the business.

Whether you're troubleshooting data pipeline failures, delivering enhancements, or helping to shape future data solutions, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your expertise in modern cloud data technologies.

What you'll be doing:

• Monitor Azure Pipelines
• Re-run the Azure Pipelines from the point of failure.
• Investigate/fix data reconciliation issues (SR's).
• Impact Analysis for changes to source systems through DCR's or Config changes.
• Performance tuning of Azure Pipelines and SQL scripts.
• Support for Incidents, Service Requests, Change Requests & Projects.
• Support projects for new Azure Pipeline Development and deployment.
• Support Auditors/Governance team on data related queries.

Skills & Experience:

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or similar discipline
• Prior experience in data related projects with a focus on data integration and ingestion
• Good understanding of data modelling.
• Experience in working with large databases that has hundreds of tables and stored procedures/packages.
• Knowledge and experience of SQL
• Knowledge and experience of Azure Data Factory & Azure Databricks

Nice to have:

• Experience with Qlik Replicate, Compose.
• Experience with a visualisation tool such as Power BI.
