ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Information Security Analyst supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of SES's Information Security Management System (ISMS) and policy framework. The role contributes to information security projects across the company, helping to manage risks, design and implement controls, and promote a strong security culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of SES's Information Security Management System in line with ISO 27001 and industry best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and track information security risks, supporting mitigation and control implementation.
  • Support compliance with SES's information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of SES's information security strategy and roadmap.
  • Design, implement, and document information security concepts and controls in collaboration with business and engineering teams.
  • Conduct information security audits and vulnerability assessments; assist in vulnerability management activities.
  • Support the detection, analysis, and response to information security incidents.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of SES's security awareness and training initiatives.
  • Provide clear and actionable recommendations on information security across systems, networks, and applications.
  • Travel as required

COMPETENCIES
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to explain complex security topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to implementation.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently when required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across different levels and functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field, with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • NATO nationality required; EU nationality preferred. Willingness to undergo security clearance if needed.
  • Understanding of key information security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 27005, NIST SP 800-53).
  • Knowledge of risk management, network and system security, and security architecture principles.
  • Awareness of cloud security, data protection, and vulnerability management practices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISM, CISA, CISSP) and/or experience in the satellite or telecommunications industry are considered a plus.
  • Consulting experience is an advantage.
