Learning Consultant, Onboarding & Foundational Learning
Reporting to the Learning Manager of Onboarding & Foundational Learning function in Operations Academy, the Learning Consultant provides learning and development solutions to Operations' employees globally - help in the execution and implementation of the learning initiatives as well as support the learning function from an administration, reporting, process, operational, and logistical perspective.

In addition, you will be responsible to coordinate with different colleagues and customers, source and liaise with appropriate vendors, generate reports and analysis, and measure training efficiency to implement relevant learning for the business.

Operations Academy is one of the teams within Operations Performance Enablement Shared Service Group. Our role is to partner with Operations organization within LSEG to drive and deliver on strategic business goals. We do this by helping teams and individuals - constantly engaging with the business to understand their learning needs, build and deliver a variety of custom learning solutions using latest trends and learning technologies that are engaging, timely, and efficient.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with a distributed team that provides learning and development opportunities to Data & Analytics Operations employees located around the globe. In this role, the individual will:
  • Deliver instructor-led-training (ILT) F2F (face-to-face) or remotely to develop skills and/or knowledge of employees as required by the business
  • Provide support in the design and development of programs (courses, synchronous, & eLearning) taking into consideration the most appropriate learning medium for the audience - with opportunity to lead
  • Contribute in global learning projects of varying scopes and complexity
  • Participate in the development of learning solutions that affect one or more functional groups
  • Participate in performing learning needs analysis (LNA) - identifying detailed and targeted customer needs and finalizing learning requirements
  • Contribute in the delivery of targeted learning projects after LNA and work with SMEs - with opportunity to lead
  • Own the maintenance of learning/learning contents or materials
  • Collaborate with other Learning Consultants and Senior Learning Consultants across all locations and functional groups to ensure consistency and effectivity of work
  • Provide support to Mid-level managers and Senior Learning Consultants
  • Regularly partner with assigned customers in various projects globally and help in building positive business relationships
  • Contribute in cross Talent/L&D/HR projects
  • Conduct administrative duties such as (not limited to) maintenance of training calendar, booking of training rooms, preparing training certificates, consolidation and analysis of training reports and records
  • Plan and communicate learning schedules/learning calendars
  • Be accountable for own work - delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes
  • Work with moderate level of mentorship and direction
  • Be encouraged to make recommendations for process improvements/challenges
  • Develop skills/capabilities aligned to the learning professional role such as (not limited to) instructional design, training facilitation, project management, learning measures, data reporting, stakeholder management, and learning needs analysis.

What you need to bring - Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal
  • Basic to intermediate level of training delivery skills (F2F and virtual)
  • Basic Instructional Design skills (ILT and/or self- paced for basic programs)
  • Working knowledge of the latest trends in Learning & Development
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Operations e.g. Products, Contents, Processes (Collections, Order Management)
  • Strong stakeholder or customer management and engagement skills
  • Ability to provide targeted feedback
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to engage with multiple learning participants and groups
  • Basic to intermediate project management skills and experience is a plus
