Job Title: Assistant Manager

Function: Accounting and Reporting Consulting (ARC)

Role & Responsibilities

Uniqus is seeking looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Manager with a Financial Services

background to join our ARC team. The role involves delivering high-impact advisory services to clients in the

banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech sectors, with a focus on complex IFRS matters, regulatory

reporting, and transaction accounting.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile FS clients and complex financial reporting

engagements in a fast-paced and dynamic market.

Responsibilities:
• Support and manage ARC projects for FS clients, including:
• IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 implementations and advisory
• Financial instruments accounting (valuation, classification, impairment)
• Preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS
• Finance transformation and process optimization
• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare client deliverables, including technical memos and position papers.
• Work closely with FS clients to assess their accounting and financial reporting processes and provide tailored solutions.
• Support Managers and Partners in project planning, execution, and client management.
• Supervise and coach junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Assist in business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations.

>> THE INDIVIDUAL
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is required.
• 4-7 years of experience in accounting advisory with a minimum of 2-3 years working with FS clients (banks,

insurers, investment firms).
• Strong understanding of IFRS, especially standards relevant to financial instruments and insurance contracts.
• Experience in the wider GCC financial services market is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
