Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day IT infrastructure and system support in a highly dynamic and demanding trading environment
- Manage all incoming enquiries and system issues reported and perform investigations to resolve them
- Manage vendor relationships and client IT teams for any system related matters and new implementations
- Engage Group Legal and Compliance for review of new contracts and services discussions with vendors
- Support FIX connection setup and certification when onboarding new institutional clients
- Monitor project timelines and milestones in accordance to the project goals and deliverables of the Institutional Business
- Maintenance of key business IT procedures and perform UAT testing for product/platform enhancement
- Regular monitoring of system performance and work together with Institutional Business to forecast future trading volume to ensure there is system availability and capacity
- Continuously improve and optimize the electronic connectivity of the equities trading system for Institutional Business
- Perform Outsourcing Review of Outsourced Vendors on an annual basis and ensure compliance to regulatory and system procedures (e.g. RCSA, RRSA and CSA assessment)
- Liaison for both internal and external IT audits, as well as handle system information requested by regulators
- Handle all payments relating to the Institutional Business
- Prepare system reports and slides for management reporting or meetings
Qualifications Requirements:
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to resolve issues independently
- Meticulous yet able to multi-task and cope with changes and diversity in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, well organized with facilitation skills
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing, able to work under stress of dealing room
- A good team player with initiative, drive, and good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge in configuration and support of FIX connectivity infrastructure for equity trading system such as FIS, Fidessa, Itiviti
- Proven project and vendor management skills
- Degree in Business or Information Technology or equivalent, preferably with some knowledge of the securities business
