Job Purpose and Impact

Job Title: Accounting Specialist CASC Singapore

The Accounting Specialist is part of the Controllership team who serve as stewards of Cargill's financial statements. The person will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and compliant financial reports for the selected Business Unit within the Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain ("CASC") Enterprise which will enable business decision making. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing month end close activities and performing financial review and analysis of financial results for group and statutory reporting. You will be responsible to present the results to Business Stakeholders and highlight any financial concerns.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform financial review and provide commentary analysis of results to group.
• Providing visibility to key process indicators and robust reporting for business decision making
• Communicate financial results to the business on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure compliance of organizational guidelines, policies, and requirements.
• Proactively manage and support multiple teams in partnership with related functional areas, especially the shared service functions based in India.
• Act as primary point of contact for selected Business Unit to provide technical accounting advise to business activities and facilitate resolution of accounting process issues
• Influencing end-to-end process excellence through established process standards and controls
• Perform and coordinate tax and statutory reporting activities for the Business Unit to ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance with the requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance or CA/ CPA equivalent qualification
• Minimum of five years of related work experience of which 3 years in audit.
• Proven experience in accounting and reporting for Marked-to-Market of physical product.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Confirmed ability to learn and adapt to changes.
• Good financial analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in accounting for trading businesses and financial reporting
• Intermediate Knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS
• Experience working with shared service
