Our client a prestigious commodities trading house is recruiting a CFO for their metal division to implement the global strategy. With a strong emphasis on product control, this role will involve working closely various business to design the group level trade product control standard and services to support the business on trade reporting, process and control. It is a collaborative Finance role which requires engagement and influence at all levels.

Responsibilities:

- Execute the metal group trade product control strategy, developing key metrics and evaluating performance and control

- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of the trading and risk management vision

- Grow and oversee on a daily basis a high performing team whilst managing the day to day positions and P&L reporting whilst also providing commentary and analysis on any variances

- Identify and implement growth strategies, process improvements and data and technology automations

- Leverage internal and external industry best practice

Prerequisites for role:

- 12-17 years post-qualified experience within a professional services company with a focus on product control, commodities experience would be highly regarded

- You will be someone who loves creative problem solving and is comfortable challenging the status quo and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

- Experience in change management and building/transforming a team

- A strong track record of success within a financial services company, bank or broker

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
