Role Overview:
A technology and system innovation role within the Asia Ex Japan (AEJ) GMO Team. The candidate will work closely with the GMO (Global Middle Office) team to drive and implement tactical technology solutions that enable the Middle Office and Product Control function meet its strategic goals. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with the Middle Office and Product Control team, understand their challenges and then leverage a growing portfolio of technology applications to improve workflow and output as part of a global transformation agenda. The candidate will lead the change initiatives within the AEJ team, design new processes and drive system and workflow efficiencies to improve output quality. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to apply technology skills to innovate and drive change within a core investment banking division. The candidate will gain valuable experience understanding the challenges facing the department and industry and the practical application of new technologies to meet those challenges.
Responsibilities: Work with and understand GMO functions and processes Design, build and implement technology solutions as part of the regional and global GMO technology agenda. The candidate will report to the regional head of GMO and work alongside the GMO teams to design and build technology solutions. Work independently and project manage each build through to implementation
Requirements: Required: Expertise in database and database queries (e.g. SQL) Programming knowledge in Python and VBA Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau / PowerBI Knowledge of data cleansing tools such as Alteryx Self-starter who is interested in learning and applying new technologies to transform processes.
Preferred: Experience in project management Strong communication skills and ability to deal with different stakeholders to gather requirements Knowledge and experience with Robotic Process Automation, UI Path, task scheduler
