Our client is a fast-growing regulated payments business with an expanding international footprint. The company operates across multiple licensed markets and supports a broad range of merchant and cross-border payment solutions. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for an experienced compliance leader to take ownership of the group compliance function.
Description
- Own regulatory relationships across multiple licensed markets, including regulator queries, inspections, notifications and ongoing obligations.
- Lead new licence applications, renewals and variations from initial scoping through to regulatory approval.
- Oversee regulatory assessments for new products, payment flows, partners and market launches, driving identified gaps to closure.
- Own the group compliance framework, including AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, merchant risk and related policies.
- Manage regulatory reporting, internal and external audits, remediation programmes and oversight of local MLROs.
Profile
- Prior experience as a Head of Compliance within a regulated payments business.
- Strong working knowledge of payments regulation and AML/CFT requirements, with deep expertise in at least one major regulatory regime.
- Proven experience personally managing regulator relationships, licensing matters, inspections, regulatory submissions, and audit engagements.
- Hands-on experience with compliance policy development, product and flow-of-funds assessments, regulatory gap analysis, and driving remediation to closure.
