Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Local IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide exceptional IT support services to our Singapore office and other Barings offices. This role will involve providing both on-site and remote technical assistance to end users,. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive IT support services to the Singapore office and other Barings office, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and inquiries.
• Provide first-line determination and resolution ("First Line Resolution") to resolve and fulfil end users' incidents and service requests.
• Communicate effectively with users throughout the life of their reported issues or requests.
• Partner with global team to ensure appropriate knowledge management standards are maintained to support the global service delivery efforts adhere to BAM global policy and standards.
• Participate in Local and Global initiatives, supporting the needs of the local business partners as well as the initiatives objectives & outcomes.
• Fulfil additional, relevant, tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements on an ad-hoc basis


• Bachelor's degree in IT related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Desktop Support or Service Desk role

• A team player and have demonstrated relationship building including success with senior stakeholders - Enthusiasm and demonstrates initiative, personal accountability, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong background in ITIL foundational concepts
• Extensive knowledge and experience with 2nd line support of Windows 10/11
• Demonstrable technical experience with Azure Virtual Desktop operations and management
• Good experience of supporting O365 (Office Enterprise Apps, MS Teams)
• Experience in facilitating meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware issues.
• Proficient technical knowledge of endpoints, A/V room technology, client applications and other related technologies
• Experience of scripting with PowerShell an advantage.
• Experience working in a regulated financial industry. Asset management experience is preferred.
