Senior Financial Accountant

We are looking for an independant and well rounded Senior Financial Accountant for our client, an international company based in the North-East of Switzerland.
In this role you will be responsible for Swiss Financial Closings and Reporting, while being a part of an international team and multi-cultural company.

In this role you will be responsible of preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports according to Swiss GAAP and IFRS Guidelines, cooperating with all levels of management across the business. Your responsibilities will also include:

• Production of reports for external audit control and co-operation with external auditors.
• Creation of financial books of accounts. Input annual budgets into the business internal accounting system.
• Bank and account reconciliations, financial statements, and assets.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Participate in Consolidation process
• Taking part in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Providing input into department's goal setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to dedlines
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support with tax audits and tax returns
• Suggest ways to improve efficiency and cost effectivenes
• Provide technical support and advice to junior team members
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

Solid education in Finance and Accounting with minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Senior Accountant. Further requirements include:

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint), in-depth experinece of at least one ERP system is a must.
• In-depth knowledge of Swiss GAAP and understnading of IFRS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
