Investment Analyst - (Monaco)

Compensation : competitive, with assistance for relocation. 

Strategy / AUM: c. $1 billion in commitments . Multi-strategy with a focus on fundamental analysis . Opportunities include Long/ Short equity, High Yield / Stressed Credit, Distressed Debt, Options.

Reporting : direct reporting to the PM (>15 years experience in special situations).

Responsibilities / Role : 

Deep dive into selected investment opportunities with :

• Full financial modelling and sensitivity analysis under supervision of the PM
• Market / benchmarking analysis 

Valuation comparables 

Production of investment memorandums

Participation in Investment Committee 

Assisting PM on executing trades

Liaising with risk / compliance function 

Monitoring of a set of investments or potential investments (results, newsflow) and reporting to the PM.

Requirements / Qualifications :

• Top 5 French business school (HEC, Essec, ESCP, EM Lyon, EDHEC), Top 3 French Engineering school (X, Mines, Centrale) or Ivy League 
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
• Strong LBO / DCF modelling skills 
•  Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must. 
• 1-3 years previous work experience in Investing / Buy Side or Investment Banking (Accounting / Big 4 also considered)  
• Studying towards CFA designation or other highly recognized certifications would be a big plus
