Business Change Process Analyst Contract role London based Large Banking client

Role background

The clients network management function (N2MI) is a global shared service for Global Banking & Markets and the Global Private Bank. The N2MI team is comprised of the core Network Management function (Cash & Securities), Market Intelligence and Risk and Control. Global coverage is provided with staff located in New York, London, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Within N2MI there is on-going change programme to expand the offering and continue the roll out of the operating model. In addition, there are on-going initiatives that arise from the wider economic and regulatory environment as well as internal group initiatives leading to the continued evolution of N2MI.

The change agenda of N2MI requires strategic planning of new initiatives and global management of change to existing processes, procedures and systems. The role requires an understanding of the business landscape and incumbent systems to engage with internal business partners to understand their strategic focus and priorities, and to produce solutions to implement that will meet those requirements and priorities.

Responsibilities:

This role entails managing the changes required to existing Network Management processes and leading enhancements or coming up with additional value-add support Network Management could provide to business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Proactively identifying potential solutions to various challenges facing N2MI
• Lead workshops as required to brainstorm ideas, understand requirements, pros/cons of potential solutions.
• Produce decks and papers to summarize and present solutions - effective communication skills necessary
• Obtain sign off from N2MI management team.

Required skills

• A self-motivated individual with a pro-active attitude who is curious and comfortable challenging the status quo, proactive in coming up with and voicing potential solutions to problems
• Experience in taking initiative to drive solutions through from inception to completion, and embedding in BAU
• Understanding of and experience in business process mapping
• An understanding of agent banks and market infrastructures and their associated landscape (e.g. regulatory environment and challenges) would be helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to present to and work effectively with senior levels of management.
• Good knowledge and experience of risk management in financial institutions.
• Strong analytical and task management skills.
• Knowledge of process mapping tools (ideally Casewise).
