About our client

We are working with an exciting and well-established European private equity investor looking for an ESG Regulatory Manager to support the ESG and Compliance teams focusing on ESG regulations across the UK and Europe. What the job involves

• Monitor the ESG regulatory landscape for forthcoming developments (including new UK, EU, Luxembourg, Bermuda, and US legislation)
• Assess the impact of ESG regulatory developments on the firm and project manage programmes to ensure it meets each ESG regulatory requirement
• Provide ESG regulatory advice and guidance throughout the firm, including to the firm's Investment Professionals, Investor Relations, Compliance, Legal, and the Finance Teams
• Oversee the accurate and timely completion of ESG filings throughout the group and assist with the production of ESG disclosures
• Maintain and coordinate the appropriate reporting and escalation of ESG issues to the Head of Sustainability
• Support the business to maintain appropriate systems, controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the firm's ongoing compliance with applicable ESG requirements
• Coordinate with external counsel and compliance consultants on ESG matters where necessary
• Oversee the coordination and scheduling of employee ESG training and communications
• Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Sustainability and the wider senior management team

Who we are looking for

• Highly organised, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated, demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels
• Candidates must be able to effectively project manage, and work well under pressure both individually and as a member of a wider team
• Attention to detail is key, with the successful candidate being able to understand each of firm's business lines and investment strategies, apply technical regulations to them and succinctly explain them to others
• Candidates with three or more years of experience reviewing and impact assessing EU and/or UK ESG regulations and working within ESG, Compliance or Legal functions within private equity companies or similar will be a distinct advantage
