Energy Modelling Analyst- UK based Power Analytics Team

Our client is looking for a recent masters or PhD graduate to join their power analytics team. They need someone with a keen interest in energy markets and using models to optimise decision making in this context.
The core responsibilities of this role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining energy models for power market forecasting
• Utilising results to create recommendations for clients
• Processing energy market related data

Requirements:

• PhD or MSC degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or related subject
• Experience working with and interpreting complex data
• Developed problem solving and analysis skills
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Matlab, R or Java
• Experience using an algebraic modelling language such as GAMS
