Events and Marketing Manager, State Street Global Advisors, AVP We are looking to hire a Events and Marketing Manager , AVP to support marketing initiatives in the UK and across EMEA. It is a varied and fast-paced role, you'll be a crucial facet to driving our commercial success. Based in London and supporting Head of UK Marketing, alongside supporting our Cash business across EMEA. The role is 70% event management and 30% marketing campaign support. This position is ideal for an experienced events manager who is looking to grow into a marketing channel specialist position. The role would suit a dynamic and ambitious individual who will be a source of innovation and energy.
Main objectives: Events: - Efficiently manage the full range of events: proprietary and third party events including but not limited to: small round-tables, medium sized conferences and sponsored conferences.
- Manage all aspects of the event operation from initial briefing to reconciliation including but not limited to budget management, site selection, hotel/venue management, registration management, transportation, food & beverage, speaker management, décor, and staffing
- Own the project management contributing to the delivering of innovative events with data-informed decision-making
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an effective and smooth delivery of the projects. Create and closely monitor value adds at every opportunity, and look to find innovative ways to deliver content and enhance each event
- Share knowledge of best practices regarding new suppliers, services, and venues
- Ability to think strategically, execute quality output under tight deadlines and work extra hours as needed
- Collaborate with compliance to ensure all events are fully compliant with regional regulations.
- Identify key themes and trends in the industry to create compelling agendas that connect to target audiences and align to business priorities
- Measure, optimize and report the performance (ROI) of all events to enhance client value and drive growth reviewing attendance and engagement metrics
Channel: - Support creation and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns, using the full marketing mix, to deliver against Institutional product priorities and sales initiatives.
- Manage the paid media plans for Institutional Marketing
- Digital marketing (experience with Marketo would be a bonus): build local email and web campaigns
- Participate to 'business as usual' marketing tasks
Profile: - Relevant degree
- Approx. 5-7 years plus of experience in marketing role/events management, planning and executing events across traditional in-person formats and through enhanced virtual platforms
- Track record of working under tight deadlines delivering high quality results
- Shown success working in a fast-paced environment and within a complex organisation
- Ability to analyse data, communicating actionable insights and future opportunities
- Proven ability to deliver with commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Familiarity with marketing & CRM platforms (Marketo and Salesforce experience is a big plus)
- Creative vision and ability to effectively brief and work with design resources (external and internal)
- Willingness to travel across EMEA for events
- Experience with virtual conference and webinar tools
