Financial Control – Accountant (Part/Fully Qualified)
Venn Group recruitment consultancy have partnered with a bank in London to augment their Financial Control department’s strategy by recruiting a new Financial Accounting Lead Analyst to work within the organisation on a rolling contractual basis.
The individual will be responsible for facilitating organizational change and ensuring the adherence of the business to regulatory financial parameters, increasing profitability and productivity for the bank.
Candidates with product knowledge in the following areas are invited to apply: Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income.
The role holder will assist with interpreting IFRS9 legislative action, documenting accounting policies and making appropriate recommendations for changes to the current policies, and monitor and mitigate any Audit-related issues.
Candidates will substantiate balance sheets, monitor and control financial risks, produce MI and document processes, coordinate between Finance and other internal departments, and implement reconciliation processes for the bank.
Additionally, this candidate is expected to oversee new finance project implementations pertaining to the bank’s core systems responsible for currency conversion, contributing to the automation of processes and transition from manual regulatory reporting.
Candidates must demonstrate both occupational and academic qualifications, including holding a Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA with a relevant university degree), extensive industry-specific experience within banking environments, and must demonstrate a willingness to proactively engage with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
