Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Working with the external fund administrators to ensure the quarterly and annual fund accounts are produced accurately and in a timely manner
• Leading quarterly portfolio company valuations
• Review of quarterly Investor Capital Account statements
• Working with the external depositary firm to ensure compliance with all aspects of Fund activity
• Preparation of quarterly management fee calculations
• Preparation of drawdown and distribution notices to investors, including detailed cash flow forecasting for the funds
• Lead the annual audit process for the Funds, including valuation queries
• Leading the UK & US tax reporting for the Funds, prepared externally, but requiring detailed review and knowledge of the events in the year
• Maintaining the fund models, Gross & Net IRR, multiple calculations
• Responding to ad-hoc investor queries
• Management of banking relationships
• Annual FATCA / CRS reporting

Qualifications & Experience

The role will suit a qualified accountant, preferably already operating within a PE/VC business.

• Degree or equivalent
• Professional financial qualification ACA/ACCA or equivalent
• Previous experience of Fund Accounting, including audit of Private Equity/Venture Capital Firms or Fund administration
• Previous experience of valuing portfolio investment companies / IPEV is very important for the role
• Excellent IT skills eg excel
