This position reports to the Head of Finance:

• Prepare the statutory financial statements and returns in tandem with IFRS and local GAAP for the Group and subsidiaries
• Group external auditor liaison making sure deliverables are all ready for the statutory audit

• Group annual audit process and tax

• Maintain strong financial control process to ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled each month
• Prepare and review monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely basis
• Ensure the monthly accruals and prepayments are completed in a timely basis
• Provide support in setting up opex budgets for the Group entities
• Provide variance analysis for actual spend vs budget/reforecast for month end reporting and management accounts

• Opex and cash forecasting

• Liaising with the regional external accountants, and auditors of the Group's subsidiaries
• Prepare the corporation tax packs and liaise with the tax advisors of the Group and the subsidiaries
• Maintain the Group transfer pricing processes and calculations for the intra Group recharges
• Manage junior members of the Finance team and regularly review their performance against agreed KPI
• Process journals into the finance system (SUN/Vision) and approve journals raised by other members of your team
• Prepare the quarterly VAT returns under the PES Method
• Review Trade debtors and creditors ageing and ensure all items are resolved in a timely basis
• Oversee the smooth running of the accounts payable and staff expense management systems
• Ensure the timely submission of ad hoc returns for the Group and its subsidiaries like the ONS returns
• Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required

• Good technical knowledge and understanding of accounting standards
• Working knowledge of using Finance systems, ideally Sun Systems
• Microsoft excel including functions such as V/XLookUp, Pivot tables, SUMIF
• Diligence and attention to detail while managing workload in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage and maintain professional team work ethics
• Qualified with professional accounting qualification e.g ACA, ACCA or equivalent
