IT Controls Assurance

My client, a global tier 1 bank, is providing an outstanding opportunity to join their New York team. The role is an advisory role that focuses on planning and performing deep dives/End to End reviews of the Information Technology (IT) General Controls (ITGCs) for CFO high focus processes (e.g., Front Office controls, payments processes).

Working in the New York team you will join the CFO End to End IT Control Assurance team within the bank’s CFO Risk & Control Office.

We are looking for someone with:

• Deep understanding of Operational Risk and application and technology control design, IT risk and control frameworks and industry good practice
• Proven background and understanding of banking controls and financial services industry is highly desirable
• Process and control experience, including developing and/or reviewing end to end process & control flows, specifically focused on assessing IT risk and control
• Solution and action-oriented mind-set to actively and timely raise issues or points of confusion related to the ITGC framework, data management objectives, and/or financial regulatory control requirements for discussion and resolution with the line
• Proven experience in auditing against regulatory requirements including SOX would be looked on favourably
• The role demands direct interaction with various teams (Directors/MDs), high accountability and ownership, strength to drive the project and strong people/stakeholder management skills.
• Attitude to review and challenge, plus drive progress in working with groups with differing priorities
• Results oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative, can manage work and deliver on time under pressure
• Degree in management information systems, computer science or related field
• Proven experience in IT audit/risk & control
• Knowledge of IS/IT control frameworks, professional standards, and leading practices including professional qualifications and certifications (e.g., COBiT, ITIL, COSO, CISA, CRISC, CISM, etc.)
