International Credit Analyst / Credit Officer

Central London (Hybrid 4 days in office)

£55,000 + Bonus + Benefits

A well-respected London-based banking group with circa 150 UK employees is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst / Credit Officer to join their dynamic team. The department is small with 3 people (and is separate from the credit risk department which is conducting credit approval and annual counterparty risk analysis ). There will be a lot of liaisons with the head office in the middle east as well as internal departments in London. The role focuses on reporting and analysis at both a micro and macro level although your experience in credit analysis is a must.

What you’ll do:

2. Maintain and monitor global credit limits of financial institutions and global country risk exposures with robust reporting and data analysis
3. Prepare portfolio MIS reports / Credit data reports and watchlist account analysis to support strategic credit decisions
4. Conduct detailed financial and credit analysis of diverse credit proposals, providing sound recommendations
5. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in an agile, team-oriented setting
6. Ad hoc support relevant as required by the Head of International Credit

Who you are:

1. A graduate with 4+ years’ credit analysis experience within a financial institution
2. Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial modeling and analysis
3. Ability to examine and evaluate cross border risk.
4. Skilled in MS Office, especially Excel, with confident use of spreadsheets and financial databases
5. Comfortable working under pressure, independently and within a small, high-performing team
6. Proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to business growth and risk management strategies
