Investment & Operational Risk Capital - Senior Manager

Due to internal promotion, you will be working with the Head of Investment Risk at a leading Financial Institution in the UK.

The role can be based Nationwide, with Hybrid working, as long as you can access either one of: Edinburgh, London, Leeds, Cardiff locations.

Supporting senior stakeholders across the Insurance, Pensions & Investment teams at a leading Financial Institution.

You will be working as 1st LOD Investment Risk specialist helping to identify & mitigate risks arising within business processes and change projects. 

Key to this role is driving & running the Operational Risk Capital Agenda. 

To ensure a robust reduction in Risk and that Operational Risk Capital requirements adequately reflect the risks posed by the organisations inadequate or failed internal processes, people or systems. 

Utilising your knowledge gained in an Operational Risk, 1LOD role in an Investment setting. Gained from an Asset Management, Fund Management, Investment Management environment. You will have exposure and in-depth knowledge of the ICARA process impacting Investments. 

You:

• Significant Operational Risk subject matter expertise within an Investment setting.
• Demonstrate 1st line of defence Operational Risk Oversight in an Investment / Fund / Asset Management setting. 
• Operational Risk Capital exposure is crucial.
• Understand regulatory framework & compliance requirements in an Investments enviornment. 
• Ideally, familiarity with 'Investment Firm Prudential Regime' (IFPR).
• Exposure to & ongoing monitoring of ICAR from an Operational Risk, 1LOD perspective. 
• Exposed to ICAAP in these Investment settings from an Operational Risk perspective.
• Understand the requirement to avoid breaches in the Overall Financial Adequacy Rule. 
• Strong Solvency II awareness.
