About our client Our client, a leading private equity fund, are currently looking to hire a Portfolio Associate to become part of their integral operations team. The fund have over 40 years of experience, and invest across a range of different asset classes including secondaries, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. The fund have doubled their AUM to over last five years making it an exciting period to join.
What the job involves As Portfolio Associate you will become part of the London team, gaining immediate exposure to fundraising, portfolio analysis and fund management. On a daily basis, you will be working alongside the Head of UK & Ireland and the London Portfolio Director whilst collaborating with the global direct co-investment team. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with technical and commercial experience from a portfolio management, consulting, or client services background. Within the team structure there is room for growth and progression, and you will be afforded a high level of autonomy in the role.
- Prepare, maintain and present marketing materials for fundraising activities and fund updates for existing clients
- Respond to fundraising, marketing and investor-related queries and requests
- Prepare and maintain monitoring materials for all aspects of direct co-investment portfolio
- Analyse fund capacity, reserves, investment allocation and performance
- Assist with preparation of fund letters and quarterly reports for investors
- Prepare and present materials for advisory board meetings
- Develop and maintain fund cash flow modelling
- Manage separate accounts, including portfolio updates, data room management and various client communications
- Participate in ad-hoc projects in relation to existing portfolio companies
Who we are looking for - Experience working within consulting, client services or portfolio management is preferred
- Knowledge of Private Equity or Private Credit would be advantageous
- A strong academic background in a relevant degree
- Very strong technical ability, attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced level of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
